Darkhorse Design and Build is a locally owned and operated design company specializing in landscape design, paver/patio design, and installation. We offer services such as (but not limited to): Paver patios, landscape design, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, firepits, fireplaces, swimming pools, spas, outdoor rooms, walkways, driveways, landscape lighting, decks, water features, interior stone work and design, property maintenance, holiday and special event design, holiday and special event lighting, and more.
The company was established in 2017 by owner David Baughman. David attended Tallmadge High school in northeast Ohio and graduated in 2004. He has worked in the Landscape design industry for 15+ years and has traveled the United States working on some of the highest profile landscape and hardscape jobs to date. He attended The University of Akron in 2009 where he studied Construction Management and continues his education today by attending hardscape and landscape design conferences yearly. Design is his passion, not just a profession.

Our team of professionally trained craftsmen and installers believe in doing business the old fashioned way, in which, the customer is ALWAYS right. We strive for excellence and listen to our clients needs from the very first step of any project -to the very last. Darkhorse Design and Build is known for taking a customized and personal approach to every project, creating patios and outdoor spaces unique to each individual client. Using responsibly sourced materials, and sustainable installation practices as often as possible to lower our carbon footprint. We support local, small businesses and find joy in improving our community and it connecting with our neighbors.
